Sara Brown, native of Rome but living in Barcelona, says of herself that she has always used her body and sexuality as the core and central theme of her stage performances. She made her debut in the adult industry in 2018, starring in her first explicit film, produced by Erika Lust – “which was a mind blowing experience” she says.
It was never her intention to become a sex performer and worker, but it developed organically over time all by itself. “In a world that still can’t handle the topic of sex, I found in sex work a key for sexual and personal empowerment, learned a lot about boundaries and the importance of community, and how to inhabit myself proudly.”
While working in the sex industry is not always easy, due to the lack of legal support and rights, we are impressed with how Sara Brown shares its liberating power through her own sexualization both in her work as a performer as well as in the educational articles she writes. Being able to develop this strength in the business is one of the greatest experiences she has had.
