A New Porn Studio from Berlin Is Reinventing Feminist Gang Bangs

HardWerk is a newly established motion picture and film company based in Berlin, dedicated to creating ethically produced cinematic hardcore porn. We fell in love with one of their first films, “Bride Bang”—a Feminist Gang Bang—and you might, too.

Our mission goes beyond crafting films of high production value and aesthetic integrity. We strive to achieve this without compromising the rawness and explicitness that make them unique. More importantly, we aim to bring adults together to celebrate their sexuality, encouraging them to explore their kinks without shame. We reclaim the gang bang as a consensual, sexually empowering practice, shining a spotlight on a dynamic that reveres orgiastic fantasies.

The birth of HardWerk lies in a modern love story—it all began when Paulita Pappel and Rod Wyler connected through a dating app and started talking about porn. The two directors shared their passion for kink and their vast filmmaking experience both within and outside the adult industry.

HardWerk has already produced five films, with more exciting projects to come. The standout film that captured our attention is “Bride Gang,” starring Kali Sudhra, Bishop Black, Master Aaron, Sam Bourne, Hunter S. Johnson and Kinky Panda.

BRIDE GANG

Here cums the bride…

You might argue that tradition and established institutions form the core of HardWerk’s “Bride Gang”; there’s the soon-to-be newlywed in her virginal white wedding dress (plated by Kali Sudhra), the flowing beer, rattling pinball machines, nicotine-stained-and-deep-rooted machismo and lackadaisical regulars of the typical German Eckkneipe (corner bar)…

However, it’s no surprise that these associated tropes and clichés are transformed into a playground for subversion in this inspired piece of smut. The filmmakers take a similar approach to the conventions within the porn industry itself, challenging the heteronormativity of the gang bang, empowering female performers to articulate their desires explicitly, and pushing the genre into a blend of inspirations and aesthetics that elevate it on every level. This might not be your dream wedding day, but it’s the one you fantasise about.

Feminist Gang Bangs… How Is That Possible?

On their website, HardWerk writes:

“There’s a tendency to call porn that is sexually “soft” (think sex that is always embedded in a story with soft lighting, pastel colours, gentle caresses and other “feminine” tropes) feminist, without actually delving deeper into what feminism means. Feminism is a political movement that fights for the equality of the genders. Intersectional feminism acknowledges the different axes of discrimination and analyses systems of oppression. Sexuality is a realm of human experience and identity that has long been repressed as a mechanism of control and discrimination. In a sex-negative society where sex is still taboo, pornography has the potential for sexual liberation by allowing for the representation and celebration of bodies, sexualities and desires – not just the pretty and the pastel but across a wide spectrum. In this way, it can be a great tool for feminist activism, validating and empowering sexual expression that doesn’t have to fit a mould. Sexuality is complex, and there are no right or wrong sexual practices as long as they are negotiated between consenting adults. It should be one of the goals of feminist liberation that every woman is allowed and encouraged to explore and enjoy her sexuality as she desires.”
