Rope play (or rope bondage — part of the B in BDSM) is a popular form of erotic play. It doesn’t even have to be erotic or sexual at all. People practice rope play for a variety of reasons: for sexual gratification, for the power-exchange, because the repetition is calming, to build intimacy, and more. This workshop is an invitation to the world of bondage. We will explore the different sensations that rope play can evoke and learn some ties for floorwork (no suspension).
After this workshop, you as rigger (active part) will be able to do basic ties that can put someone into a state of meditative relaxation and comfort. As a riggee (passive part), you will know more about the feeling of complete trust in someone else and the deep relaxation that can come from surrendering to the ropes. You don’t need any prior knowledge in Shibari. Make sure you wear comfortable clothes and you have rope to practice with. You can attend this workshop with a partner or by yourself and as always you will have the possibility to ask questions directly in the chat.
